Selenium IDE download and install step by step process
- Open Mozilla Firefox Browser.
- Type URL : http://seleniumhq.org/download/ in your browser. Selenium IDE download page will get open then click on latest Download version link (Here is 1.3.0) as shown in image bellow. click on that link.
- When you click on latest Selenium IDE Download version link, Firefox will show one popup saying do you want to allow Mozilla Firefox to install selenium IDE software application or not. Click on Allow button as shown in image bellow.
- When you click on allow button, Firefox will automatically install Selenium IDE software. after completion of Selenium IDE installation, it will show one pop up saying Selenium IDE installation completed. you need to restart your browser to use selenium IDE software application. Click on Restart Now button as show in image bellow.

- When you click on Restart Now button, Firefox will restart automatically. now click on Tools menu list displayed in top. you can see there Selenium IDE as shown in image bellow.

- Click on Selenium IDE as shown in image above. It will launch Selenium IDE software window as shown in image bellow.

On the given URl, the latest version of IDE is 2.2.0 which is not supported to firefox 3.6.
Can you please let me know with which version of firefox, IDE 2.2.0 is compatible.

As the URL you have given is showing the IDE version as 2.2.0 and not 1.3.0.
And i have mozilla as 3.6.

IDE 2.2.0 will support to latest version of FF 22.0. Always use latest version of FF and IDE.

Selenium IDE is one of the best regression testing tool and main benefit of learning selenium IDE is – it not requires knowledge of any programming language. You can simply record your scenario and then you can run it.
Latest version of selenium is Webdriver and it requires knowledge of any one programming language. Other tools like QTP, Load runner etc.. also requires knowledge of programming language.

selenium ide only for record & plaback ? can 't we develop the script by using c#
You can use latest version of selenium called webdriver to write script with your preferred languages like C#, java, ruby etc..

hi im currently using selenium WD 2.44.0 , MozFirefox 23.0.1 , firebug 1.12.4 , firepath 0.9.6.1 . But im not able to get the xpath , and the firebug doesn't work at times.
